Mo College Abhijan of Odisha Higher Education Department gave a booster shot to infrastructure in Remuna Degree College in Balasore.  The college under the Alumni connect programme has received a financial contribution from Mo College for an Open Stage.

The students and faculties were rapturous for the reason that the college doesn’t have a permanent stage to hold even its annual functions. Make-shift stages were set up for the programmes. This one requirement was felt for long by both student and faculties.

Building an open stage for the college was decided by the college administration and alumni committee, after it was observed that students of the college are bringing laurels participating in inter college cultural competitions.

As a consequence, Remuna Alumni have made financial contribution for building up an Open Stage for the institution under Mo College Abhijan. The institution has received a Matching Grant of Rs 2.74 lakh under Mo College Abhijan.

This has been a long-felt need for the college. It has no infrastructure to hold open mike programmes, theatre, conference, seminars and alumni meets, felt the Principal Jayanti Nayak.

An open stage will help students in boosting their confidence level to face large crowd. It will also build their persona in big way. The alumni contribution will be a bench mark for other colleges alumni, opined a member of the alumni committee.
